What Krayin CRM does

Krayin CRM is a sales CRM built on Laravel and Vue.js and developed by Webkul. Its central record is the lead: a potential deal with a title, value, source, type, sales owner, expected close date, contact person and the products involved. Leads sit in a pipeline whose stages you can rename and extend, and they move along it until they are won or lost. Persons and organizations hold contact details, with custom attributes for anything the standard fields miss.

Around the pipeline Krayin adds the pieces a small sales team usually needs. Products and warehouses feed into quotes attached to leads. An email module has its own inbox, drafts, outbox, sent and trash folders, receiving mail over IMAP and sending through the SMTP server set in the configuration. Calls, meetings and tasks are logged as activities, and the dashboard summarizes leads, revenue by source and type, top products and top contacts for any date range, with a PDF export.

Automation and integrations

Workflows are configured in the settings: you pick an event (create, update or delete on leads, activities, persons or quotes), add conditions, and choose the actions to run. Webhooks push data to other services with custom headers and a form-encoded or raw JSON body. Web forms with their own styling create leads from a website, and a CSV importer handles persons, products and leads when moving from another system.

A newer “Magic AI” option reads uploaded documents, PDFs or images and creates leads from the details it finds. It needs an OpenRouter API key and a chosen model, so the data goes to that outside service when you use it.

Some integrations are sold separately as paid extensions on the vendor’s site, among them VoIP calling, WhatsApp, a Google integration and a multi-tenant SaaS edition. The core does include a one-way export of persons to Google Contacts.

Self-hosting Krayin CRM

Krayin is a standard Laravel application. It is installed with Composer and an artisan install command, after setting the database and mail details in the .env file. The README for the current 2.2 branch asks for Apache or NGINX (the documentation recommends NGINX with PHP-FPM), PHP 8.3 or newer, Composer 2.5, MySQL 8.0.32 or MariaDB 11.4 LTS or newer, and at least 3 GB of RAM. A Docker image, webkul/krayin, is documented for the 2.0 release.

Because it is plain PHP and MySQL, Krayin fits hosting setups many agencies already run, and developers can add modules as Laravel packages.

Hosted version

The vendor offers Krayin CRM Cloud Hosting, a managed service on your own domain that the team sets up and maintains. The site says there are no user limits beyond the plan’s storage and compute, and that it can migrate a self-hosted installation to the cloud.

Limitations

The free core covers pipelines, quotes and email, but calling, WhatsApp and calendar integration with Google need paid extensions. Reporting is the dashboard only; the documentation shows no custom report builder. Campaigns are simple sends of an email template linked to an event, so Krayin does not replace a marketing automation tool such as HubSpot. The memory requirement is also higher than you might expect for a PHP application.

Who it suits

Krayin suits small and mid-sized businesses and agencies that want a permissively licensed CRM on a familiar PHP stack, and developers who want to customize a CRM as Laravel code. Teams that need built-in telephony or marketing automation should compare it with the other options in the CRM guide.
